SAD strongly opposes slashing cell phone allowance of govt employees

Chandigarh, July 28(UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal has strongly opposed slashing of cellphone allowance of the employees by the Punjab Government and said that it is squeezing employees to fill its empty coffers.
In a statement released here on Tuesday, the SAD Treasurer and Spokesman Mr NK Sharma said that it is most shameful for the Punjab Government that it is trying to squeeze people particularly government employees to fill its empty coffers on the cost of mega facilities to its ministers.
He said that the SAD-BJP government has started cell phone allowance for the 3,15,649 employees in 2011 to help them out but the Congress government has now slashed this allowance for all Class A, B, C and D category of employees.
