Govt's rollback on sale of 'donated' plasma victory of people: Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, Jul 30 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state unit president and MP Bhagwant Mann, reacting to the recent rollback by Punjab government on its absurd decision to sell the ‘donated’ plasma (blood cells) at Rs 20,000 per unit to corona patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals, calling it the victory of people in the state.
Mann had a piece of advisory for Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, saying he should introspect and reconsider dozens such decisions as were suicidal to the people of Punjab.
In a statement issued from party headquarters late on Thursday evening, Mann said Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had been under pressure to rollback on the malicious decision following humongous public outrage, adding the leaders of political parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party, deserved a huge round of applause for pitching in against the decision.

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday expressed grief over the demise of Mr Harish Choubey who was working as a senior journalist in Jabalpur for the vernacular daily ‘Dainik Bhaskar’.
“I pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved family for bearing this loss,” the veteran leader averred in a message.

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday reiterated his dispensation’s commitment vis-à-vis ensuring that tribal folk’s rights are not violated.
“With the cherished objective of enhancing our adivasi brethren’s earnings, the Centre increased support price of minor forest produce as well as ensured improved returns for tendu leaf. Credit availed till August 15 from usurers is being declared null and void by enacting a law to liberate tribal people from exploitation. Forest rights title deeds are being issued to Scheduled Tribes,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying.

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday dedicated to the people a novel coronavirus Intensive Care Unit set up in merely 45 days at Ujjain’s Civil Hospital, official sources said.
“The facility shall be nothing short of a boon for treatment of those afflicted by the ‘millennium scourge’. I heartily felicitate the entire team of doctors for steadfastly remaining on duty and performing yeoman service throughout this challenging period. Indeed, these health warriors are in a pitched battle against the contagion and should continue fighting with the same indomitable spirit. We shall vanquish the pathogen!” the veteran leader averred.

Ambala, Sep 18 (UNI) With two deaths of coronavirus positive patients, the total death tally has reached to 69 in Ambala district today. Both the deceased belonged to Ambala and Ambala Cantt. 40 years old patient was resident of Patel road Ambala City. He was suffering from kidney trouble with hypertension and blood pressure. The other patient of Ambala Cantt was resident of Mahshnagar. He was a cancer patient and died after admitted to the Covid-19 Care Centre today.

MP’s ryots get Rs 4,686 cr under PMFBY

Bhopal, Sep 18 (UNI) In a boon for Madhya Pradesh’s cultivators, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday electronically transferred Rs 4,686 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to 22 lakh peasants during a programme conducted in the ancient temple town Ujjain, it was officially learnt.
“It is an unalloyed truth that my dispensation is farmer-friendly and the pivotal focus is on the agrarian sphere. Irrespective of circumstances, the government stands alongside our tiller brethren,” the senior politician assured.
