Shortage of de-addiction pills at govt de-addiction centers ploy to benefit private players: Meet Hayer

Chandigarh, Jul 17 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has blamed the drug mafia for the acute shortage of de-addiction pills at the government-run de-addiction (OAT) clinics, saying it involved a multi-crore scam under the protective patronage of the state government.

In a statement issued from party headquarters on Friday, youth leaders and party spokespersons, Meet Hayer and Rupinder Kaur Ruby (both MLAs) said that the shortage of de-addiction pills at the government-run de-addiction centers was due to the alleged collusion of state government with drug mafia, seeking a time-bound probe under the supervision of the High Court so that those behind the nexus could be brought to justice.
