Convene pending monsoon session of Punjab assy immly : Harpal Cheema to CM Channi

Chandigarh, Sep 23 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Harpal Singh Cheema has demanded newly appointed Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to immediately convene the pending monsoon session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
The LoP said a 15-day session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha should be convened for decisive discussions on all pending and public interest issues of the state.
In a statement here on Thursday, Cheema said on September 3, there was a special session of the Vidhan Sabha dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, which cannot be technically or constitutionally linked to the monsoon session.
