Shajapur, MP, Nov 25 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Thursday over the gender ratio improving from 1,000:905 in 2015-16 to 1,000:956 in 2021 in the state where numerous schemes including the Ladli Laxmi Yojana (LLY) are underway for females.
“Owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the Kanyadaan Scheme was shelved but is being recommenced. The state government launched the Beti Bachao Abhiyan for protecting girls and that was followed by implementation of LLY. No stone shall be left unturned for educating and developing daughters without whom the world and creation cannot be imagined,” he said here while addressing a public meeting during a programme concerning solar energy.
