Prithvipur, MP, Sep 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Wednesday that the state’s Bharatiya Janata Party government would initiate strict action against anyone who attempts to snatch the rights of the poor and other deprived segments.
“Such elements shall not be spared and hooliganism scotched. Whenever the Congress comes to power, anti-socials’ activities spiral and corruption thrives. Let everyone know that we will not spare the corrupt,” he said while addressing a public meeting at Digouda and highlighted steps taken by the state regime.
The by-election schedule for Niwari District’s Prithvipur assembly constituency was announced on Tuesday. The by-poll has been necessitated by the demise of Congress leader and former minister Brajendra Singh Rathore. The notification is to be issued on October 1, voting is to be conducted on October 30 and counting on November 2. Both the BJP and the Congress are yet to announce their candidates.
