Respect mood of Kashmiri masses for restoration of rights of people, Soz to leaders

Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) Urging mainstream leadership in the Kashmir to respect the mood of masses of the valley for restoration of democratic and constitutional rights of the people, senior Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz on Saturday welcomed the joint statement of signatories of Gupkar declaration demanding restoration of Article 370 and 35 A and statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.
“It is a gratifying situation that the Kashmir mainstream leadership has realized that the main plank of its struggle has to be restoration of Article 370 and Article 35-A of the Constitution of India”, former union minister said in a statement Saturday afternoon.
He said his understanding is that the leadership is conscious of the fact that there are other vital issues also such as restoration of statehood and restoration of Domicile Rights which carry the same importance as the ones enunciated above.
