Amit Shah to release BJP’s J&K poll manifesto on Sep 6

Jammu, Sep 4 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the Bharatiya Janata Party's manifesto for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections on September 6 and address rallies in Jammu to kickstart the party’s campaign.

The three-phase Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are to be held on September 18, September 25 and October 1 and the counting will be held on October 8.

“Amit Shah will be arriving here on Sept 6 to release the party's manifesto and address political rallies,” said a senior BJP leader.

He said that the Shah’s visit is expected to be of two days during which he will address public rallies, adding, “He will release the manifesto on September 6 at the media war room established here in a hotel.”

“The venues for the rallies are being finalised for which the party leaders are holding meetings,” he added.

He said that a visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also on the cards as he is expected to address a public rally in one of the prominent hill districts of the Jammu region for which arrangements are also underway.
