Anurag Thakur blasts Rahul Gandhi over graft issue calling his act buffoonery

Anurag Thakur blasts Rahul Gandhi over graft issue calling his act buffoonery

Hamirpur (HP), Oct 3 (UNI) Union Information-cum-Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur Sunday blasted the Congress party leader, Rahul Gandhi for his repeated assertions on corruption issue and said corruption was rampant during the Congress-led UPA regimes and such talks from the Congress party leader looked funny.

Talking to a group of reporters on the sidelines of a function in the district on Sunday, he said the Congress party was a failed party, whose state governments were competing just to become the Chief Ministers. No one was sure in that party about his/her future and it would be wiped out from the political scenario of the country after the next Lok Sabha elections.

Anurag Thakur hit back on Rahul Gandhi's statement on corruption and said Rahul Gandhi does not speak in the interest of India . He said whenever there has been a terrorist attack in the country, Rahul’s statements have been absurd . He (Rahul) never praised the role of the Indian army and instead always spoke about the terrorists for their safety.

On Congress's statements of demonetization and GST which spoilt the economy, Anurag Thakur said black money believers make such comments again and again because the country has benefited a lot from GST.

On the increasing cases of Covid, Anurag Thakur said it was necessary to make children aware of the infection, and by adopting the Covid protocol along with wearing masks, Covid can be prevented.

Anurag Thakur said the Modi government has not even been accused of corruption of seven paise in seven years. “It is one of the most honest government of India, the people have seen”.

“ But everyone knows what work has been done in the seventy years of Congress rule. He said Congress has done the work of evacuating and looting the country”, he said.

He said during the 'Amrit Mahotsav of Independence', it is important for the young generation to know which party has contributed to the progress of the country.
