Opposition adopting irresponsible stance on Hathras issue: UP minister

Lucknow, Oct 3 (UNI) Evan as the Yogi Adityanath government is at the receiving end of all round flak over the alleged gang rape incident in Hathras, a dalit BJP leader and social welfare minister Ramapati Shastri has accused the opposition parties of adopting an irresponsible stance over the issue.
"Hathras incident is merely a cover, the opposition parties are conspiring caste riots in the state and they are against the truth to come out after investigation by the police and SIT in to the incident. The audio tapes and comments on the social media and past incidents are ample evidence that the opposition parties are hatching a conspiracy to foment trouble in the state over the incident in Hathras’’, said Ramapati Shastri here on Saturday.
Targeting the Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati, the minister said "Mayawati is issuing irresponsible statements which are an insult to `dalit ki beti’. She is the four time former chief minister and she must realise the gravity and sensitivity of the incident.
