Timely steps needed to prevent spread of Omicron: Vij

Ambala, Dec 25 (UNI) Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij on Saturday said that timely steps are needed to prevent Omicron, the new variant of Corona, which was spreading rapidly in the world as well as in India.
He that in view of the rapid spread of Omicron, the state government had decided that after January 1, 2022, the eligible person who has not received both the vaccines of Covid, would not be allowed to go to any public places. It will be checked properly and if anyone violated it, action would be taken against him under the law.
Vij said that the state government has also imposed night curfew which will be effective from 2300 hours to 0500 hours. He said that not more than 200 people would gather in any gathering and regular checking of this rule would also be done. If anyone violates then action would be taken as per the rules.
