No development in Chhattisgarh during 20 months of Bhupesh Government: Raman

Pendra (Chhattisgarh), Oct 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice President and former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr Raman Singh on Thursday alleged that development works in Chhattisgarh came to a standstill during the 20-month rule of Bhupesh Government. He alleged that Congress came to power in the state by making false promises.
Launching a scathing attack on Bhupesh Government at an election gathering in Marwahi area today Dr Singh said that Marwahi assembly by-poll results would not have any impact on the government. But the way Chief Minister and the entire government camped in this constituency clearly shows their nervousness, he said. Congress came to power after making lucrative promises in assembly elections but now it is afraid that it may have to face the wrath of the voters due to non fulfillment of election promises, Dr Raman said.
Promise of unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 to the unemployed has not been fulfilled; he said adding that despite the promise of liquor ban, illicit liquor is being sold openly in every nook and corner of villages. Illegal liquor is also being sold from the government shop. Sand prices have increased manifold due to sand black marketing and illegal activities of mafias, he said.
