Newly elected Chhattishgarh Cong MLA sworn-in

Raipur, Nov 20 (UNI) The newly elected MLA from Marwahi Assembly in Chhattisgarh, Dr KK Dhruv, was sworn-in here on Friday.
Chhattisgarh Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant administered oath of office and secrecy to Dr Dhruv at Legislative Assembly premises in presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, parliamentary affairs minister Ravindra Choubey, home minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, food minister Amarjeet Bhagat and others.
Dr Dhruv had contested the Marwahi Assembly by-election with a Congress ticket earlier this month. He defeated Dr Gambhir Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party by a margin of 38,197 votes.
With this victory, the number of Congress seats in the 90-member House has increased to 70.
