Srinagar, May 9 (UNI) In yet another heartwarming example of Kashmiriyat, Muslims in a village in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama helped perform the last rites of a Kashmiri Pandit amid an unabated rise in the number of fresh COVID-19 cases and deaths.
According to details, as soon as the news of the death of 70-year-old Chaman Lal spread in village Tahab in Pulwama, members of the Muslim community on Saturday came in large numbers to his house to condole the death.
As only a few of his family members and relatives were around, the Muslim neighbours of the deceased took it upon themselves to help perform the last rites of Lal, a former BSNL employee.
