“Major companies shall not be allowed to snatch the livelihood of small businesspersons,” the veteran leader was officially quoted as saying at the local Minto Hall while addressing a programme for distributing interest-free credit of Rs 10,000 each to rural hawkers.

Plan to supplement PM-KISAN in MP

Bhopal, Sep 24 (UNI) On the lines of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme – under which Rs 6,000 each is annually paid to cultivators in three equal instalments – a Kisan Kalyan Yojana has been introduced in Madhya Pradesh and envisages Rs 4,000 – in two identical parts – to each beneficiary of PM-KISAN, official sources said.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to duly launch the programme at 1040 hrs on Saturday at the local Minto Hall and interact with peasants via videoconferencing.
