Rewa (MP), Oct 6 (UNI) Three persons died and about 15 sustained injuries when a tractor-trolley – carrying people returning from an immersion ceremony – overturned on Thursday near Sumedha village in this district’s Naigarh Police Station limits, law-enforcement authorities said.

The victims were rushed by police and villagers to an infirmary at Mauganj where the trio was pronounced dead. Following administration of first aid, those hurt were referred to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in this divisional headquarters.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief over the loss of life. The administration issued a directive vis-à-vis payment of ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin.
