Media-Police are friends, one use camera while other 'unfortunately' baton, guns: DGP

Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) Without assuring any action against policemen responsible for allegedly thrashing photo journalists at Pulwama during an encounter on Tuesday, Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Thursday said media uses camera while the police unfortunately has to use batons and gun.
Mr Singh was reply to question at a press conference called in connection with Batmaloo Srinagar encounter in which three militants and a woman were killed and a CRPF officer injured today.
When his attention was drawn towards thrashing of three photo journalist at Pulwama, DGP said media and police are friends while the former uses camera latter unfortunately had to use lathis and guns.
