HC issues notice as man tested + ve for nCoV staying in circuit house at Shimla

Shimla, Jul 18(UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government, facing public wrath over opening the entry gate of hill state for tourists, issued notice by High Court of state on Friday seeking reply over staying of outside visiting party in state circuit near Peterhoff--one of whom tested positive for novel Coronavirus on Thursday.
Hearing a public interest litigation lodged by Advocate Verinder Thakur on Saturday, notice was issued by a division bench of Chief Justice Lingappa Narayana Swamy and justice Anoop Chitkara to state directing the government to furnish reply within one week of this notice listed matter for hearing on July 23.
Petitioner alleged that a group arrived in two vehicles allowed to stay in the circuit house on recommendation of a Government functionary was accommodated at Chaura Maidan. A cab driver of the visiting party tested positive for Novel Corona Virus on next night.
