Srinagar, July 28 (UNI) At 36.2°C, Srinagar has recorded the 3rd highest maximum temperature since 1997 on Sunday. The minimum temperature recorded during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday at 24.6°C was also the hottest in 132 years, officials said
The maximum temperature at 36.2°C was the 6th ever in July since 1893, when a weather observatory was established in Kashmir valley, an independent weather observer Faizan Arif said.
The MeT office said that the all-time highest Maximum temperature in July was recorded at 38.3°C on July 10, 1946, and the second highest at 37.0°C on July 9, 1999.
