Srinagar, July 23 (UNI) Reiterating the demand for a "fair trial" for former Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front terrorist Yasin Malik, Peoples Conference chairman Sajad Lone on Saturday demanded a probe into the 1987 state elections.
Lone alleged that the elections were rigged and claimed that this was the “root cause” for the youth to opt for violence.
Malik, who is undergoing a life term in a 2017 terror-funding case, has been sitting on a hunger strike in Tihar Jail since Friday alleging that this case is not being investigated properly.
