Alleged SI paper leak scam: Court grants 10 days police remand to four

Jammu, Nov 7 (UNI) The Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Amarjeet Singh Langeh on Monday granted ten days police remand to four arrested by the CBI in much publicized paper leakage scam.
The accused Surender Singh of Murlipur, Rewari (HR), Ashok Kumar of Pallanwala, Jammu, Bajinder Singh of Karnal (HR) and Pradeep Kumar of Madrasi Colony, Jaitupur New Delhi, who was has been produced in custody by Investigating Officer, DySP Prashant Sharma of CBI, ACB, Jammu and party in connection with aforesaid FIR for offences under section 120-B read with Section 420 of IPC alongwith Case Diary with a prayer for grant of fifteen (15) days of police remand in respect of accused.
CJM after perusal of CA file observed that the accused persons seems to have been arrested on 06.11.2022in FIR in question. Investigation is at the initial stage insofar as it pertains to the accused. In order to pin-down the role of accused in the FIR in question, prayer of investigating agency to seek police remand in respect of accused, on facts and for reasons outlined in application, therefore seems to be validly tenable and is therefore granted.
