Islamic State claims responsibility for attack on traffic cop

Srinagar, Dec 3 (UNI) The Islamic State (IS) terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack on a traffic policeman in the old city area here in Jammu and Kashmir last evening.
The Amaq News Agency of Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack. A video clip of the attack was also released by Amaq. The claim could not be independently verified.

On Wednesday evening, an unarmed traffic policeman on duty at Rajouri Kadal was fired upon with a pistol by a militant. The traffic policeman was wounded in the attack.

The attacker shouts 'Allahu Akbar' (God is greatest)" while firing.

In October, the ISIS also claimed responsibility for killing a street vendor from Bihar in old Srinagar area.

Accident claims youth, injures 18

Sehore (MP), Jan 17 (UNI) One person died on the spot and 18 sustained injuries when a pickup vehicle overturned after ramming a motorcycle on the Ashta-Shujalpur road late Monday, police said.
The injured have been admitted at a hospital here. The deceased motorcyclist was identified as Amar (27) from Indore district’s Chauhan Khedi village.
