Govt to set up Medical Device Park at Nalagarh: CM

Solan, Nov 24 (UNI) Reiterating his governments resolve to encourage industrial investments in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday said that government has got the approval on the proposal to set up a Rs 269 crore Medical Device Park at Nalagarh.
Besides, government has also taken up the matter of setting up a Bulk Drug Park in the state with the union government in which an investment of more than Rs 50,000 crore would be made and would provide employment to 15,000 to 20,000 people of the state.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the second unit of Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited at Baddi in Doon Assembly Constituency of this district, Thakur said that Rs 239 crore have been spent on the construction of this unit and it would provide employment to 600 people. He congratulated Sutlej Textiles and Industries for setting up of second unit in Himachal Pradesh. He said that due to the continuous efforts of the state government, Himachal has attained 7th rank in 'Ease of Doing Business' in the country today.
