He said that the estimated project cost of the park is around Rs 1200 crore, out of which Rs 1000 crore will be funded by the Government of India for the development of common infrastructure and an estimated investment of about Rs 8000 to 10,000 crore is expected in this park. Jai Ram Thakur said that the Union Cabinet had approved the Bulk Drug Park Scheme on March 21, 2020 and subsequently on July 21, 2020, guidelines were issued for prescribing evaluation criteria for submission of proposals. As per these guidelines, 90 per cent of the project cost will be provided by the Department of Pharma (DOP), Government of India, with a ceiling of Rs.1000 crore.
