Cyber crimes, tech misuse worries HP CM

Shimla, Aug 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh government expressed concern over increasing incidences of cyber crime in the state and misuse of technological innovation for blackmailing, reproducing obscene videos.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who also holds the portfolio of the Home, gave the statement calling attention to the crimes brought up by MLA Inder Dutt Lakhanpal after the question hour in the Assembly on Friday.
Thakur said the State Cyber Crime Cell was constituted to probe such crimes, however, the victims have to submit written or online complaints to get the matters probed.
