Painter displays history & culture of area: VC Dev Dutt Sharma

Hamirpur (HP), July 24 (UNI) Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Patel University, Mandi Dr Dev Dutt Sharma, said Sunday a painter displays the history and culture of the rural area and certainly keeps that history alive through his art for years . He said art keeps changing the heart from time to time and an artist keeps on exposing the problems of the society from time to time with his imagination.
He was speaking at the closing of a three-day watercolor workshop organized by the Department of Language and Culture, District Hamirpur at the Thakur Ram Singh History Research Institute Neri,(Hamirpur) Sunday.
He said, “If the art is seen, it keeps on changing with the condition of time, as a bride sitting in a palanquin represents the social order, while on the other hand a queen sitting in a window spreads the imaginations of her memories. With all these things, the artist keeps displaying his art form from time to time”.
