Chhattisgarh witnesses record 752 new Coronavirus patients, six deaths

Raipur, Aug 19 (UNI) Chhattisgarh has witnessed a record number of 752 new Coronavirus positive patients and six deaths during the last 24 hours. In the meantime 338 Coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.
According to information received from health department, 320 out of 752 fresh Coronavirus positive patients belong to Raipur whereas 78 patients were found in Durg, 66 in Raigarh, 49 in Bilaspur, 44 in Rajnandgaon, 27 in Sukma, 26 in Baloda-Bazaar, 24 in Koriya, 19 in Gariaband, 12 in Narayanpur, 10 in Balod, 9 each in Kondagaon and Bijapur, 8 in Kanker, 7 in Dantewada, 5 each in Surajpur, Kawardha and Jashpur, 4 each in Mahasamund, Janjgir, Dhamtari and Mungeli, 2 each in Sarguja and Balrampur and 1 each in Korba and Koriya.
Process of their hospitalisation is underway. Meanwhile Coronavirus caused six deaths in the state. Two patients from Raigarh succumbed to Coronavirus in Raigarh Medical College while a person from Bemetara and two persons from Raipur died due to Coronavirus in Raipur Medical College Hospital. A woman from Raipur too died of Coronavirus in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur.
