COVID-19: Chhattisgarh reports 652 fresh cases, three deaths

Raipur, Aug 19 (UNI) As many as 652 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients have been detected in Chhattisgarh during past 24 hours while 338 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery. Meanwhile three infected patients succumbed to virus.
According to information received from health department out of 652 new positive patients maximum 291 belong to Raipur whereas 77 belong to Durg, 41 to Raigarh, 49 to Bilaspur, 27 to Sukma, 25 to Baloda-Bazaar, 24 to Koriya, 18 each to Rajnandgaon and Gariaband, 12 to Narayanpur, 9 each to Kondagaon and Bijapur, 7 each to Dantewada and Kanker, 5 each to Surajpur and Jashpur, 4 each to Mahasamund, Janjgir and Mungeli, 2 each to Balod, Dhamtari, Sarguja and Balrampur and 1 to Kawardha. Process of their hospitalization is underway.
Meanwhile three patients succumbed to Coronavirus. An infected patient of Raigarh died in Raigarh Medical College while a man of Bemetara died of Coronavirus in Raipur Medical College Hospital and a woman of Raipur died of Coronavirus in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur.
