Covid prevention reduced vector borne disease in UP: Yogi

Lucknow, Sep 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has claimed that Covid 19 prevention like use of face mask, hand wash and social distancing has proved beneficial in reducing vector borne diseases in the state during this monsoon season.
“The officers should not be lax against the diseases like Japanese Encephalitis, AES and other communicable diseases. The officers of different departments should co-ordinate and effectively control the spread of this disease,” he said during a meeting here on Tuesday.
CM said that the state government is already conducting a massive campaign against vector borne diseases and has announced that the coming October month will be totally devoted to this. The communicable disease control programme will start from October 1 and continue till October 31 while a fortnight long Dastak Programme will also start from October 1.
