Jaunpur: 17 COVID-19 cases, tally surges to 817

Jaunpur, Jul 17 (UNI) Seventeen more people, including the owner of a medical store tested positive for the novel coronavirus, taking the surge in the total number of cases to 817 in this Uttar Pradesh district on Friday.
District Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Singh here said that according to the test reports obtained today, 17 people, including the owner of a medical store opposite the district hospital, have tested positive.
Out of the total 817 cases, 591 have recovered completely. 11 people have so far succumbed to the infection in the district. 215 active coronavirus patients are currently undergoing treatment in Jaunpur.
