COVID-19: 188 new cases, tally surges to 1,617 in UP's Jaunpur

Jaunpur, Jul 28 (UNI) With 188 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the total number of cases increased to 1,617 in this Uttar Pradesh district on Tuesday.
District Magistrate (DM) Dinesh Kumar Singh here said that out of the total 1617 cases, 875 people have recovered completely. 22 patients have so far succumbed to the contagion in the district.
There are 720 active cases in the district who are currently undergoing treatment.
