Community surveillance required to control surging spread of Covid in UP: Prasad

Lucknow, Sep 12 (UNI) While appealing for community surveillance to control spread of Coronavirus in the state, Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday admitted that now Covid 19 cases are increasing in the rural areas too.
However, the government has claimed that the recovery percentage has increased to 76.35 per cent and fatality rate has come down to 1.42 per cent in the state where the total Covid positive cases in the state has crossed 3 lakh mark and casualty near 5000 mark on Saturday.
State additional chief secretary health, Amit Mohan Prasad said here on Saturday the community surveillance during the arrival of migrant workers in the lockdown period was excellent which enabled the state to control the spread of the virus.

Date for admissions to 1-yr courses extended to Nov 20 in Haryana technical institutes

Giving this information Wednesday, an official spokesperson of the Department of Skill Development and Industrial Training said this decision has been taken by the Directorate General of Training (DGT) in Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in view of Covid-19 following the request made by various states to extend the last date of admissions.
