Jaipur, Sept 4 (UNI) Rajasthan recorded 738 fresh Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases on Friday, taking the state's tally to 86,965 while seven fresh fatalities took the toll to 1102, according to a health department bulletin.
Jaipur has recorded two deaths, followed by one each in Ajmer, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar and Sirohi.
Among the new cases, the highest number of 148 cases were reported in the capital Jaipur while 111 in Jodhpur and 107 in Kota.
Ajmer recorded 37 followed by, Alwar 31, Bikaner 30, Jhalawar 25, Banswara 31 and 13 each in Churu, Sikar. Jhunjhunu, Baran and Pali recorded 22 each, followed by Sawaimadhopur 19, Rajsamand 17, Pratapgarh 14, Bundi 12, Badmer, Bharatpur and recorded eight cases each. Chittorgarh registered 11 case, followed by 10 in Nagaur, Sirohi and Bhilwara six each, five in Tonk and four in Udaipur.
With these fresh cases, Jodhpur reached to a tally of 12,741, which is the highest in the state.
The number of infected in Jaipur increased to 11,969. Alwar's total reached 8011, followed by Kota 5923, Bikaner 4667, Ajmer 4405, Bharatpur 3736, Badmer 3204,Sikar 2664, Udaipur 2521,Nagaur 2467, Jhalawar 1713, Sirohi 1355, Rajsamand 1235,Churu 1065, Pali 1022 ,Chittorgarh 954, Tonk 722,Baran 693,Banswara 666, Bundi 656 and Pratapgarh 512.
So far, 23,92,144 samples have been taken for testing in the state, out of which 23,02,972 reports were found negative while 2207 reports are yet to come. Notably, 71,249 patients have recovered from the disease in Rajasthan which currently houses 13,912 active cases.
