Rajasthan: Woman dies after undergoing tubectomy

Churu, Jul 2(UNI) A young woman died after undergoing tubectomy in a medical camp in Sardar city in Rajasthan's Churu district.
The incident happened on June 29 when an NGO 'Shubham Paramedical Committee', Bidasar organised a tubectomy medical camp at the Government hospital in Sardar city. In the camp, Dr Pawan Verma along with several other medical and paramedical staff performed several sterlisation surgeries. One of the woman, who underwent the surgery at the camp, was 22-year-old Maina Devi.
According to the police, Maina Devi began to feel unwell, soon after the surgery. The doctors at the hospital treated Maina but her condition deteriorated rapidly. She was transferred to the DBH Government hospital in Churu, where she died while undergoing treatment.
Police said Maina Devi's husband Deepa Singh has accused the members of Shubham Paramedical Committee, Dr Pawan Verma and the medical staff present there of negligence and has filed a case against them in this regard.

COVID: J&K reports fresh 536 +ve cases, 11 deaths

Jammu, Aug 13 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday informed that 536 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), (98 from Jammu division and 438 from Kashmir division), have been reported thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 26949.
