Punjab: Health dept to conduct walk-in-interview for 323 posts of Medical Officers (Specialists)

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) Punjab Health and Family Welfare department would conduct the walk-in-interview to fill 323 posts of Medical Officers (Specialists) on a regular basis to overcome the shortage of Specialists during COVID-19 pandemic.
Stating this here on Friday, Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that in addition to strengthening the health Infrastructure, the state government has been laying thrust to fulfil the all vacant posts of Specialists in Government Hospitals to impart quality health services in the rural areas of the state. He said the there is dire need of specialists in the health department to effectively deal with the coronavirus situation.
Giving details about the recruitment, the Minister said that 37 posts of Anaesthesia, 4 ENT, 44 General Surgery, 25 Gynaecology, 56 Medicine, 6 Ophthalmology, 4 Orthopaedics, 4 Pathology, 83 Paediatrics, 1 Psychiatry, 45 Radiology, 7 Skin and VD, TB and Chest would be recruited through walk-in-interview.
