Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) As many as 2,481 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 90 deaths were reported in Punjab on Tuesday, taking the infection tally to 84,482 and the death toll to 2,514 in the state.
According to an official health bulletin, the virus has so far claimed 19 lives in Ludhiana district, 12 in Jalandhar, 10 in Amritsar, 8 each in Kapurthala and Gurdaspur, 6 in Hoshiarpur, 5 in Ferozepur, 4 each in Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala, 3 in Muktsar, 2 each in SBS Nagar, Pathankot and Ropar and one life each in Barnala, Bathinda, Faridkot and Sangrur districts today.
It further said that 409 fresh cases were reported from Ludhiana district, 261 from Jalandhar, 214 from Amritsar, 204 from Patiala, 197 from Gurdaspur, 189 from Pathankot, 188 from SAS Nagar, 154 from Hoshiarpur, 120 from Bathinda, 84 from Kapurthala, 81 from Muktsar, 67 from Sangrur, 62 from Faridkot, 48 from SBS Nagar, 43 each from Fazilka and Fatehgarh Sahib, 37 from Tarn Taran, 33 from Moga, 28 from Mansa, 11 from Barnala, 7 from Ropar and 1 new case from Ferozepur district.
