Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) As many as 2,628 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 68 deaths were reported in Punjab on Sunday, taking the infection tally to 79,679 and the death toll to 2,356 in the state.
According to an official health bulletin, the virus has so far claimed 11 lives in Amritsar district, 10 in Patiala, 6 each in Bathinda and Jalandhar, 5 in Ludhiana, 4 in Kapurthala, 3 each in Fazilka, Hoshiarpur, SAS Nagar, Pathankot and Sangrur, 2 each in Mansa, Moga and Ropar and one life each in Barnala, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, SBS Nagar and Tarn Taran districts today.
It further said that 433 fresh cases were reported from SAS Nagar district, 327 from Patiala, 274 from Ludhiana, 260 from Gurdaspur, 252 from Jalandhar, 188 from Amritsar, 104 from Bathinda, 79 from Hoshiarpur, 74 from Sangrur, 71 from Faridkot, 67 from Ferozepur, 66 from Muktsar, 64 from Kapurthala, 57 from Fazilka, 49 from Pathankot, 48 from Mansa, 47 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 45 from Ropar, 36 from Moga, 33 from SBS Nagar, 29 from Barnala and 25 new cases from Tarn Taran district.
