Punjab registers 2526 fresh Covid-19 cases, 63 deaths

Chandigarh, Sep 11 (UNI) Punjab on Friday registered 2,526 fresh Covid-19 cases and 63 deaths, taking the infection tally to 74,616 and the death toll to 2,212 in the state.
According to an official health bulletin, the deadly virus claimed 12 lives in Ludhiana district, 8 in Jalandhar, 7 each in Bathinda and Patiala, 5 in Hpshiarpur, 4 each in Tarn Taran and Sangrur, 3 each in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Muktsar and Pathankot and one life each in Faridkot, Ferozepur, SAS Nagar and Moga districts today.
It said that 326 fresh cases have been reported from Jalandhar district, 315 from Patiala, 262 from SAS Nagar, 237 from Gurdaspur, 186 from Ludhiana, 181 from Amritsar, 166 from Kapurthala, 161 from Hoshiarpur, 116 from Bathinda, 72 from Ferozepur, 64 from Sangrur, 61 each from Pathankot and Mansa, 59 from Muktsar, 58 from Faridkot, 50 from Fazilka, 37 from Moga, 28 each from Barnala and Ropar, 25 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 17 from Tarn Taran and 16 new cases from SBS Nagar district.
