Punjab registers 67 deaths, 1,964 fresh Covid-19 cases

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Punjab on Tuesday registered 67 deaths and 1,964 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the death toll to 1,990 and the infection tally to 67,547 in the state.
According to an official health bulletin, the deadly virus claimed 13 lives in Ludhiana district, 11 in Amritsar, 8 in Patiala, 7 in Bathinda, 4 each in Moga and Jalandhar, 3 each in Sangrur, Faridkot and Gurdaspur, 2 each in Hoshiarpur, Muktsar and Kapurthala and one life each in Ropar, Barnala, Fazilka, Mansa and SAS Nagar districts today.
It said that 311 fresh cases have been reported from Ludhiana district, 265 from Jalandhar, 236 from Amritsar, 208 from Patiala, 168 from Bathinda, 127 from SAS Nagar, 126 from Gurdaspur, 104 from Hoshiarpur, 83 from Faridkot, 39 from Tarn Taran, 36 from Fazilka, 32 from Sangrur, 30 from Barnala, 28 from Moga, 25 each from SBS Nagar and Mansa, 24 from Kapurthala, 23 each from Muktsar and Ferozepur, 22 from Fatehgarh Sahib, 16 from Ropar and 15 new cases from Pathankot district.
