Bhopal, Nov 20 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 3,138 on Friday in Madhya Pradesh where nine fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 1,89,546 with 1,528 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 31,371 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin pegged the active cases at 10,402 – a summation of statistics that are unfortunately on the upward spiral in all 52 districts. Bhopal continued to have the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 378 new instances, Indore 313, Gwalior 96, Ratlam 76, Jabalpur 58, Rewa 46, Sagar 45, Vidisha 39, Shivpuri 31, Khargone 23, Ujjain 22, Betul 18, etc.
