War against COVID-19: MP’s body count rises to 2,951

Bhopal, Oct 31 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 2,951 on Saturday in Madhya Pradesh where ten fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 1,71,359 with 669 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 26,057 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin pegged the active cases at 8,929. Bhopal continued to have the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 134 new instances, Indore 89, Jabalpur 46, Gwalior 38, Rewa 33, Ratlam 20, Anuppur 19, Sagar 17, Chhindwara 15, Morena 13, Satna 12, Shivpuri ten, Ujjain five, etc. An encouraging fact is that no fresh patient was recorded in Alirajpur, Mandla, Burhanpur and Agar-Malwa.
