War against COVID-19: MP’s body count rises to 2,890

Bhopal, Oct 26 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 2,890 in Madhya Pradesh where five fresh demises were reported on Monday even as the infected tally touched 1,67,969 with 720 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 26,099 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin issued tonight pegged the active cases at 10,857. Bhopal spawned the maximum 167 new instances, Indore 142, Jabalpur 53, Sagar 34, Gwalior 23, Balaghat 21, Rewa 16, Satna 15, Ratlam 14, Singrauli and Umaria 13 each, Hoshangabad 12, Anuppur ten, etc. An encouraging fact is that the corresponding statistic was nil in Niwari, Panna and Alirajpur.
