War against COVID-19: MP CM appeals for personal contribution

Bhopal, July 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Friday that no stone is being left unturned in the state to prevent novel coronavirus infection and arrangements are in place for free-of-charge plus superlative treatment.
“A massive portion of the budget has been thus expended and finances will be required in future as well. It is our collective responsibility to curtail needless government expenses and also provide whatever assistance we can at personal level. I have decided that – with effect from the date I assumed my present mantle till September 30 – I will deposit 30 per cent of my salary and allowances in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. So far, Rs 1.40 lakh has been contributed by me. My Cabinet colleagues may follow suit,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying.
