DC orders health officials to start OPD at three newly set up CHCs

Jalandhar, Sep 19 (UNI) In order to ensure quality healthcare services to the people amid Covid-19 pandemic and share the patient load of Civil Hospital, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori has directed the health department to start OPD and Indoor services at all three newly inaugurated community health centres (CHCs) Basti Gujan, Dada Colony and Khurla Kingra.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that keeping in view the occupancy at Civil Hospital for Covid-19 treatment, it was necessary to provide alternative arrangements to the people for non-Covid treatment. He further added that the CHCs in Basti Gujan, Dada colony and Khurla Kingra were opened to provide Covid-19 treatment, however, the number of level-2 patients at these CHCs were comparatively less, which led the way to use these facilities for the non-Covid patients.
