Hamirpur (HP), Nov 15 (UNI) Three aged people, one each from the districts of Hamirpur, Kangra, and Shimla succumbed to coronavirus and 56 new cases were found positive besides sixty older cases were cured in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, according to a spokesman of the HP Health Department.
He told UNI today that in all, 3,034 samples were tested out of which only 56 were found positive. He said that a maximum of 16 cases were detected in Kangra and 14 in Hamirpur.
The spokesman said that the number of active cases stood at 1,093 as the number of new positive cases (56) was less than (60) of cured cases during the day.
He said that the total number of confirmed cases in the state as of Sunday was 2,25,768 and that of cured cases was 2,20,810.
The spokesman said that people should take proper care to save them from the wrath of the virus as it still existed in the state.
He appealed to the people to wear face masks and also follow Covid related guidelines in totality.
