Haryana govt carried out Sero survey to find prevalence of COVID-19 among people

Chandigarh, Sep 4 (UNI) Haryana government said on Friday that it had carried out a survey to find Sero prevalence of COVID-19 in the population of the state in the month of August.
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Friday stated that this Sero survey was carried out with the aim of identifying how deep COVID-19 has penetrated at the community level and to monitor its transmission trends.
Giving details, the minister said, “The survey was conducted in all districts of Haryana in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. It was conducted by taking samples of 850 people from each district including both urban and rural population."
