Covid : 1391 fresh cases & 9 deaths in Haryana

Chandigarh, Aug 29 (UNI) Haryana on Saturday recorded 1391 new cases of COVID-19 along with nine more deaths from the virus, taking the total number of cases to 61,987 and death toll to 670 in the state.
According to the bulletin, the virus claimed two lives each in Karnal, Panchkula, Bhiwani and Yamunanagar districts and one life in Gurugram district today.
Faridabad district leads the number of infections in the state with 12462 confirmed cases, followed by Gurugram 11693, Sonepat 4251, Ambala 3608, Rewari 3441, Panipat 3397, Rohtak 2873, Karnal 2613, Hisar 2170, Panchkula 2075, Kurukshetra 1647, Mahendergarh 1636, Yamunanagar 1486, Palwal 1464, Bhiwani 1335, Sirsa 1252, Jhajjar 1176, Kaithal 1006, Fatehabad 873, Nuh 730, Jind 533, Charkhi Dadri 266 and 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens.

Lucknow, March 29 (UNI) Six persons were held guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment along with a combined penalty of Rs 11.65 lakh by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Friday in more than 19-year-old case related to murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal and his associates, an official spokesman said here.
