Administrative officers asked to strictly implement masks, social distancing, hand hygiene in their areas : Vij

Chandigarh, Nov 30 (UNI) Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that keeping in view the threat of new Omicron variant of COVID-19 and possible third wave, Deputy Commissioners, Commissioners of Police, Inspectors General of Police and Superintendents of Police of all the districts of the state have been given directions that they will ensure strict implementation of COVID-19 protocols such as wearing of masks, social distancing, hand hygiene etc among the people in their respective districts and jurisdictions.

In addition, where there is a possibility of congestion, like all schools, industries, business premises, railway stations, bus stands, etc, agencies like police, health, municipal and civic committees COVID-19 protocols will be strictly enforced by penalizing those who do not wear masks in public places, he said.
