Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) Haryana on Friday registered 2,488 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 23 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 1,06,261 and death toll to 1092, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed three lives each in Gurugram and Panchkula, two each in Faridabad, Ambala, Hisar, Kurukshetra, Sirsa and Yamunanagar and one life each in Rohtak, Karnal, Jhajjar, Bhiwani and Fatehabad districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 339 were reported from Gurugram district, 287 from Faridabad, 171 from Sonipat, 167 from Hisar, 157 from Panchkula, 140 from Ambala, 139 from Rohtak, 131 from Kurukshetra, 129 from Karnal, 121 from Sirsa, 96 from Yamunanagar, 89 from Panipat, 76 each from Jind and Mahendergarh, 74 from Palwal, 70 from Rewari, 58 from Kaithal, 54 each from Jhajjar and Bhiwani, 31 from Fatehabad, 16 from Charkhi Dadri and 13 new cases from Nuh district.
