Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Haryana on Wednesday registered 2,694 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 19 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 1,01,316 and death toll to 1045, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed five lives in Karnal, two each in Gurugram, Faridabad, Panchkula, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar and one life each in Ambala, Bhiwani, Mahendergarh and Kaithal districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 421 were reported from Gurugram district, 292 from Faridabad, 234 from Kurukshetra, 197 from Karnal, 192 from Ambala, 178 from Rohtak, 169 from Sonipat, 141 from Sirsa, 133 from Panipat, 129 from Hisar, 110 from Panchkula, 99 from Yamunanagar, 78 from Bhiwani, 62 from Rewari, 52 from Jhajjar, 47 each from Mahendergarh and Jind, 36 from Kaithal, 35 from Fatehabad, 32 from Palwal and 10 new cases from Nuh district.
